We are a community of children, parents and educators dedicated to a dynamic learning experience guided by the Montessori philosophy.

Our mission is to create a superior spiritual, social, physical and academic environmental allowing each individual to develop to his/her fullest potential in a climate of joy, respect and freedom within limits.

Our school was founded in 1961 and was the first Montessori school in DuPage County. The school has grown from one class for 3-6 year olds to a Montessori community serving families with Toddlers, Pre-Primary (including Kindergarten), Extended Day, Full Day and Elementary programs through sixth grade.

Dr. Maria Montessori believed that a truly educated individual continues learning long after formal education because this person is motivated from within by a natural curiosity and love for knowledge. She felt that the goal of education should not be to fill the child with facts, but rather to cultivate the child’s own natural desire to learn.

Guided by Maria Montessori’s philosophy of respect for each individual child, we have designed our school to meet the spiritual, social, physical and academic needs of each student enrolled. The meticulously prepared environment is designed to direct the child toward positive, constructive and joyous work. Every child is encouraged to explore the indoor as well as the outdoor environment at their own pace while respecting the needs of self, others and the materials that serve all the students.
