Our History

Montessori Academy of Glen Ellyn (MAGE), established in 1961, is the oldest Montessori school in DuPage County. Annie Carlson, a young Montessori teacher, purchased the school in 1979 and later moved it to its current location north of downtown Glen Ellyn. In 1961, the school served ages 3-6 in one Montessori Preprimary program, and has grown to serve children in Toddler, Preprimary, Kindergarten and Elementary programs, as well as before and after-school care.

In 2011 we celebrated 50 years of serving DuPage County families!
